Description

The Genevieve sets an emerald-cut centre inside a halo of small moissanite, with a half pavé band carrying the sparkle along the front shoulders. The emerald cut is a rectangle with long, stepped facets that produce slow, rolling flashes of light rather than rapid sparkle, a quietly architectural look that has always felt elegant and considered. The halo and pavé frame those clean lines with brightness, making the centre stone read larger and catch more light from across the room.

Each Genevieve is made to order and shipped from our Melbourne studio once finished. The stones are moissanite graded D-E colour and VVS clarity, the same standard used for premium diamonds, and the ring arrives with a GRC certificate of authenticity. We only send a photo of the completed ring, ready to ship.

Choose 9k yellow, white or rose gold, 14k or 18k yellow gold, or platinum, with a centre stone from 1ct to 7ct. A lifetime stone and craftsmanship warranty is included, plus a free resize within three months and return shipping both ways.

Every ring is hand-set by generational jewellers & sent from Melbourne. Made to order within 6 weeks, or 3 weeks express for an additional $300.

Moissanite is GRC certified at D-E colour, VVS clarity. Lab-grown diamonds are IGI certified for cut, colour, and clarity. Every order offsets one tonne of carbon. All resizing and repairs handled in the same Melbourne workshop.

About this ring

Will anyone be able to tell it is moissanite?

Moissanite is slightly more brilliant than diamond, so an expert eye up close may notice the fire pattern is different, but across a table, on a hand, nobody is identifying it. Ours is graded D–E colour and VVS clarity, and comes with a third party GRC certificate.

Can this design be customised?

Almost everything can change: metal (9k, 14k, 18k gold in white, yellow or rose, or platinum), centre stone size, setting style, and band. Tell us what you would change and we will come back within 24 hours.

Why does this cut sparkle differently?

Step cuts like this use long, open facets arranged like stairs, producing broad flashes of light rather than the fine sparkle of a brilliant cut. The effect is often called a "hall of mirrors". It is a quieter, more architectural look, and because the facets are so open, clarity matters more, which is why we only use D–E VVS stones.

Does a halo make the centre stone look bigger?

Yes, noticeably. A halo of small stones around the centre increases the overall visual footprint, so a halo ring often reads half a carat to a carat larger than the centre stone alone. It is the most cost-effective way to get presence on the finger.

Can a pavé band still be resized?

Yes, but within a smaller range. Rings with stones set into the band can be resized up to 2 sizes, where a plain band can go up to 4. If this is a surprise proposal and you are unsure of the size, tell us, we will talk you through it, and your first resize within three months is complimentary either way.

Can I see this ring before I commit?

Yes. Design consultations are by appointment only, in our Southbank studio or by video, and there is no obligation. We can also send 3D CAD renders of your exact ring on request before anything goes into production, plus a photo of the finished ring before it ships.

How long until my ring arrives?

Standard processing is up to 6 weeks for made-to-order rings, plus 1-4 business days for Australian Express shipping (1-2 weeks internationally).

Express order processing is available for an additional $300, which guarantees dispatch within 3 weeks.

Your first resize within 3 months is complimentary, including return shipping both ways.

  • Rings with stones set into the band can be re-sized within 2 sizes
  • Resizing takes 2-5 business days at our Melbourne workshop

If you are not sure of the size, we can post you a complimentary ring sizer. Most jewellers will also size at no charge, no purchase required. For a surprise proposal, a friend or family member who knows your partner can often find out the size discreetly.

What if my partner doesn't love the ring?

Every ring is custom made for you, so we do not offer change-of-mind returns or exchanges. If you would like to change the design after purchase, we can discuss reworking it and provide a quote before proceeding. Returns for faults and your Australian Consumer Law rights remain unchanged.
