Description

The emerald cut is rectangular with stepped facets that produce slow, rolling flashes of light rather than rapid sparkle. It's a quietly architectural choice. A bezel setting wraps the entire stone in a band of metal, holding it secure and giving the ring a streamlined, modern profile. Particularly good for active hands.

Every ring is made to order by our jewellers and dispatched from Melbourne. The moissanite is graded D-E colour and VVS clarity, the same grading standard used for premium diamonds, and arrives with a GRC certificate of authenticity. Lifetime stone and craftsmanship warranty included; resizing is complimentary, you cover postage to us and we cover postage back to you.

All elements are customisable: choose your metal (9k yellow, white or rose gold, 14k or 18k yellow gold, or platinum), centre stone size from 1ct to 7ct, and band style. Book a design consultation, by appointment, in our Melbourne studio or via video call to see the options in person.

Every ring is hand-set by generational jewellers & sent from Melbourne. Made to order within 6 weeks, or 3 weeks express for an additional $300.

Moissanite is GRC certified at D-E colour, VVS clarity. Lab-grown diamonds are IGI certified for cut, colour, and clarity. Every order offsets one tonne of carbon. All resizing and repairs handled in the same Melbourne workshop.

About this ring

Will anyone be able to tell it is moissanite?

Moissanite is slightly more brilliant than diamond, so an expert eye up close may notice the fire pattern is different, but across a table, on a hand, nobody is identifying it. Ours is graded D–E colour and VVS clarity, and comes with a third party GRC certificate.

Can this design be customised?

Almost everything can change: metal (9k, 14k, 18k gold in white, yellow or rose, or platinum), centre stone size, setting style, and band. Tell us what you would change and we will come back within 24 hours.

Why does this cut sparkle differently?

Step cuts like this use long, open facets arranged like stairs, producing broad flashes of light rather than the fine sparkle of a brilliant cut. The effect is often called a "hall of mirrors". It is a quieter, more architectural look, and because the facets are so open, clarity matters more, which is why we only use D–E VVS stones.

Is a bezel setting more practical for everyday wear?

It is the most protective setting we make. The metal rim wraps the girdle of the stone, so there are no prongs to catch on clothing, hair or gloves. If you are a nurse, in a trade, at the gym, or hands-on with kids, a bezel is usually the right call.

What is an east west setting?

The stone is turned on its side, sitting across the finger rather than along it. It is a modern, slightly unexpected look that makes an elongated stone read wider and sit lower on the hand.

Can I see this ring before I commit?

Yes. Design consultations are by appointment only, in our Southbank studio or by video, and there is no obligation. We can also send 3D CAD renders of your exact ring on request before anything goes into production, plus a photo of the finished ring before it ships.

How long until my ring arrives?

Standard processing is up to 6 weeks for made-to-order rings, plus 1-4 business days for Australian Express shipping (1-2 weeks internationally).

Express order processing is available for an additional $300, which guarantees dispatch within 3 weeks.

What if I get the ring size wrong?

Your first resize within 3 months is complimentary, including return shipping both ways.

  • Most rings can be re-sized within 4 sizes
  • Rings with stones set into the band can be re-sized within 2 sizes
  • Resizing takes 2-5 business days at our Melbourne workshop

If you are not sure of the size, we can post you a complimentary ring sizer. Most jewellers will also size at no charge, no purchase required. For a surprise proposal, a friend or family member who knows your partner can often find out the size discreetly.

What if my partner doesn't love the ring?

Every ring is custom made for you, so we do not offer change-of-mind returns or exchanges. If you would like to change the design after purchase, we can discuss reworking it and provide a quote before proceeding. Returns for faults and your Australian Consumer Law rights remain unchanged.
