Ring size guide

We use AU/UK letter sizing for all of our rings. Use this guide to find your size, convert from US or EU, or measure at home, and reach out if you'd like a free ring sizer kit sent to your door.

AU / UK US EU Diameter (mm) Circumference (mm)

How to find your size at home

Method 01
Paper strip method
Cut a thin strip of paper (~1cm wide). Wrap it snugly around your finger, mark where it meets, then measure the length in mm. Match that number to the circumference column above.
Method 02
Existing ring method
If you own a ring that fits well, measure the internal diameter in mm straight across the inside and match it to the diameter column above. Even a ring worn on a different finger gives a useful reference.
Method 03
Free ring sizer kit
We'll post a free plastic ring sizer gauge and printable guide to you anywhere in Australia. It takes about a minute to use and gives you an accurate AU letter size instantly.
Method 04
Showroom or video call
Visit our Southbank showroom (Level 7, 80 Dorcas St, Melbourne) by appointment, or book a consultation by appointment. We can walk you through sizing in person or on camera.
Timing matters: Fingers are largest in the evening and after physical activity. They are smallest in the morning or cold weather. Measure in the evening for the most comfortable fit. If you're between two sizes, we always recommend sizing up.

Resizing your ring

Standard rings
Up to 4 sizes
Plain band and solitaire rings can typically be resized up to 4 sizes either way without affecting the ring's structural integrity.
Stone-set bands
Up to 2 sizes
Rings with stones set into the band (pavé, eternity) can be resized up to 2 sizes. Beyond this the setting may be affected.
Turnaround time
2–5 days
Resizing takes 2–5 business days at our Melbourne workshop. Local customers can drop off in person at Southbank by appointment.
Cost
Complimentary
One free resize is included with every ring, with return shipping both ways covered. Additional resizes are quoted individually.
Proposing as a surprise and don't know the size? Order your best estimate and we can adjust after. Resizing is fully covered and the process is straightforward.

Common questions

What size should I order if I'm between two sizes? +
We always recommend sizing up. A ring that's slightly loose is more comfortable day-to-day and easier to remove, and it's easier for us to size down than up in most cases.
Does the width of the band affect sizing? +
Yes. Wider bands sit differently against the knuckle and can feel tighter than a narrower band of the same letter size. If your ring has a band 5mm or wider, we generally suggest going up half a size. Our team can advise when you discuss your design.
How do I secretly find out my partner's ring size? +
Borrow a ring she wears on her ring finger and measure the inner diameter, or trace around the inside onto paper. Asking a close friend or family member is also a reliable option. If you can't find out, order in a common size (L or M for women) and we'll resize after the proposal. This is very common and completely fine.
Can all rings be resized? +
Most of our rings can be resized. Full eternity rings have stones set continuously all the way around the band and cannot be resized, as there's no space to add or remove metal. We'll flag this clearly at the time of your order.
When is the best time to measure my finger? +
Measure in the evening, when your fingers are at their largest. Avoid measuring after exercise, in cold conditions, or first thing in the morning, these give artificially small readings. Take 2–3 measurements on different days and average the results for the most reliable number.
Do you offer a free ring sizer kit? +
Yes, we'll post one to you at no cost, anywhere in Australia. It includes a plastic ring gauge and printed sizing guide. Request one via our free ring sizer page or reach out to us directly.
